Children think their disruptive behavior is unique, and therefore clever. Adults should be taught what logical fallacies are so they don't waste each other's time when delivering speeches.

i avoided watching not just this one but both #debates 🥳

no emotional nor cognitive energy wasted tonight on the theatrics of American politics. debates are bullshit when there's other very concrete indicators of why you should or should not vote for anybody in this country; ESPECIALLY for #POTUS.

so am proud of myself 👍🏾 still, to those who watched —beside using it as a worthy excuse to drink midweek— how bad was the #couchfucker?

Text from article: This was a necessary reminder that in addition to those killed and their loved ones, mass shootings inflict a horrible emotional and physical toll for those present as well as their loved ones. (“I can actually hug my child, my child is here,” she said about the people whose relatives were killed. “Those people are suffering.”) Harris noted that hundreds of thousands of children have been exposed to such incidents, and an entire generation has grown up with active shooter drills. Hearing a child and her family who will be forever changed by such an event is a bracing reminder of how that pool of victims grows every year. In addition to Oprah, the event certainly had its quotient of star power via Zoom (e.g. Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep, Chris Rock). But they were not the stars — or the point — of the event (although they no doubt helped build an audience).
