Hey look what came out the rest of the way while I was on vacation. And more to come!
#bloomscrolling #crocus
Oh I didn’t expect this after the last snow fall and rain! They are popping up in the front lawn now here and there! There are more to come.
We also have our first #crocus open today. This is #CrocusChrysanthus “Cream Beauty.” They start out this yellowy butter color and fade to cream as the flowers age.
The #CrocusTommasinianus “Barr’s Purple” are starting to poke their buds up between the grass, but they might have to wait until after the snow that’s due tomorrow to give us a show.
The hungry little queens have awoken

Almost forgot I had #Bloomscrolling flowers to share. #Crocus
After more than a foot of snow in the last 24hours, I'm just gonna leave this here to remind #MotherNature of the direction we're supposed to be going...
Some guerilla pickwick crocuses close to the road. Sneaky walkers I suspect but it could be squirrels. I did plant some of these types last fall but they aren't blooming in that location yet.
This gives an idea of how big these orange monarch crocuses are. Also chickens helping.
The orange monarch crocuses that are very tiny. See reply to this for reference.
Crocus are out!
Also noticed some black knot on one of the plum trees, which does not bode well. Pruned it off but sounds like next year will tell if the infection is too serious to save the tree.
Lots of little bits of green starting to appear amidst the leaf litter!
We can pretend it's a little flickering flame coming out of the ground and not out of focus.
The first yellow crocus has doubled up and the first daffodils are sort of open.
