It’s #ElbowsUp in #Canada during the #TradeWar with the #UnitedStates that was foolishly started by #DonaldTheDeplorable and his #tariffs - aka #TrumpTaxes.

But when #Americans put their ‘elbows up’ 💪 to administer deodorant - perhaps as they prepare to ‘sweat out’ the *next* #TrumpRecession - they, too, can #BuyCanadian 🇨🇦 with Harry’s odor and sweat control sold at Kroger and elsewhere!

Harry’s Foaming Shave 🪒 Gel could also be handy if your finances are expected to take ‘a close shave’!

Markets in Q1: #ETTTTS

Whereas the major risk back in Jan was that #Trump's 'America first' policies would push #inflation back up & prevent #US interest rate cuts, now the most important risk is #recession risk.

That has spun the $140T global bond #market 180°.

#Gold, the ultimate safe port in a storm, has had its best quarter since 1986 due to Trump's #TradeWar & the #dollar is flirting w/its worst start to a year since the 2008 global bust.

🚀 Vietnam: The Unexpected Winner in Trump's Trade War 🇻🇳💼

Trump's tariffs reshaped global supply chains, boosting Vietnam's economy 🌍. Manufacturing giants like Apple & Foxconn moved production here, fueling explosive export growth 📈. Vietnam now thrives as the US's largest export market 🇺🇸, but risks loom with overdependence on US trade 🤔.

I assume that the #TradeWar means some food products in #Canada will actually get cheaper due to lower demand from US consumers.
I'm wondering if there may be any classic "TradeWar meals" like rolled oats that people will rely on to handle the inflation.

Report from someone at a Puerto Vallarta all inclusive hotel at Spring Break:

Every night during the entertainment the hosts would do a roll call to get the audience excited.

"Who's here from Canada!?🇨🇦
Whoooo!! goes part of the crowd.

"y de Mexíco!?🇲🇽
WHOOO!! Goes another part of the crowd.

"WHO's here from the USA!! 🇺🇸
...... nothing .... 🦗 🦗 🦗

.....

And it isn't because there were no Americans.

So ya, Dear Americans, I am sorry, I know this hurts, I know you are ashamed. I know you kinda brought this on yourselves and you feel that. I really hope you can fix it. All of us do!

I have written before that I have been disappointed that the Canadian and Mexican governments haven't had a more cooperative and supportive strategy at the government level, but at the citizen level apparently there was real solidarity and support and love shown by Mexicans on the street and at the hotel to Canadians, and vice versa.

VIVA MEXICO! 🇲🇽 ELBOWS UP! 🇨🇦

#US #stocks are falling steeply Friday following discouraging updates on inflation & how much US households may be willing to spend given all the #uncertainty about #Trump’s escalating #TradeWar.

The S&P 500 was down 1.5% in midday trading. That would make this the 5th losing week in the last 6 for the index….

The Dow was down 520 points, or 1.2%, as of 11:30AM ET, & the Nasdaq composite was 2.1% lower.
