So, I sold some #Scottish #Clan stuff this morning & I was out in the garden when the postie delivered a piece of mail from Queensland that had been delayed by the recent cyclone.
What was it?

I put it on my giggle hat so I wouldn’t lose it before I came inside.

I'm fascinated by these sterling silver yo-yos made by Sunshine Reeves, a Navajo silversmith. These one of a kind pieces usually sell for about $600. #yoyo #SterlingSilver
For #BloomScrolling this #RoseWednesday, this is #SterlingSilver #Rose, an old hybrid tea rose, 1957, by Gladys Fisher. It was one of the early "Blue" hybrids, though its color is more mauve. I find it is reluctant to throw new canes, is not very vigorous, but is very fragrant and produces lovely blooms. The light this morning and the end of blooms before fading almost makes them look pink.

Introduced in Australia in 1960 and France in 1963 as "Sterling Silver". A lavender rose with few thorns. I find it stingy on flowering, reluctant to send out new canes, but captivating anyway.
