What a terrible country we have here in the US. A young black dad needed to go to a job interview and couldn't afford a baby sitter for his 3 kids and didn't have time to take them home before his meeting bc he also can't afford a car.

So they walked to McDonald's next to his job interview to let them play while he went to the interview.

When he returned he was arrested and may still be in jail rn

Unsanitary Practices Persist at Baby Formula Factory Whose Shutdown Led to Mass Shortages, Workers Say

“Persistent leaks” and “unaddressed contamination issues” are among the problems workers say they witnessed at one of the nation’s largest baby formula plants. “I can’t have this on my conscience,” one told ProPublica.

Long time ago, in a faraway land, when I was a medium sized lass, I hurt my back. No one actually figured out why it happened. Looking back I realize, 50% of it was depression and the rest of 50% was because I couldn’t lie down horizontally at night because of said depression. Only way I could get any sleep at night was if I curled up like a ball and used pillows to prop me up. Never told any one this, even the doctor who treated me. Cause I felt like I did something wrong and it was my fault.

This my very roundabout way of saying that don’t treat/raise your children as if they can’t come to you with their problems without feeling guilt or shame. #mentalhealth #parenting #trauma

Me: “Son, we don’t just eat salt. It’s for putting on our food.”

5-year-old, making constant eye contact with a silly expression, slowly maneuvers himself under the table to enjoy his pinch of salt in peace.

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

I'm trying to think of something clever to say for the morning, but I got nothing. Dragging a bit today.

Oh, MDMRNia (13) has decided she's going to make herself some chainmail out of soda can tops. So, we'll see how that goes. I've been saving them for her off my energy drinks.

Also, the MDMRN Twins are having a field trip to visit the Middle School. They'll be middle schoolers in the fall. The passing of time is a bitch.

Hope you have a great one.
