Happy Friday! Looking for a new nature-themed #BoardGame to add to your collection? Enjoy engine building or creating the perfect card tableau?

If so, #Earth might be right for you! Check out my 4 minute video to see what it's all about. And even though it concentrated on the #solo mode, multiplayer fans can still see the #game in action!

23rd times lucky I guess. After so many plays I finally win at the hybrid #eurogame / #wargame #boardgame Wings For The Baron. Design and market aircraft in WW1 Germany. The winner has the highest amount of gold and paper money. Inflation will erode the worth of paper money as the game progresses.

The main game for the #socalwargamers gathering at Geeky Teas in Burbank was the classic CDG Napoleonic Wars. The less said about that the better as Nappy landed and conquered Britain in turn 1. 😜

#A8PicoCart casing is printing now. I overcame my distaste and soldered the Pico directly to the PCB (I would so, so much rather socket this but I don't think there's room inside the cartridge case.

T minus 105 minutes, approximately.

Played a new #boardgame last night, called Project L, and was sent home with it (it was a second copy). So I guess I'll need to #3dprint an insert for that as well (oh, darn).

Now I just need some #coffee

Good morning!

R's boyfriend came over last night, necessitating a quick trip to the grocery store to buy more burgers. But I didn't engage with him when he asked about the #boardgame I had set up at the dining room table (Vagrantsong). He also asked about my ROG Ally. He's a gamer, so he was interested in the Windows handheld. But I wasn't feeling very interactive, so I didn't elaborate, which made me feel bad. Hopefully, I can make it up to him soon.

I also wanted to include YT video links on recent updates or for #BoardGames I've gotten back to the table recently, since I sometimes do videos for #games I do not write about. Links are for the BURST versions, all lasting between 2 and 4 minutes.

Another recurring idea for a #musicGame is to separate playing music and doing in-game moves. You basically join the music when it's not your turn.

The game may have any turn-based mechanics, but its #tabletop representation should yield itself well to musical interpretation.

This is a design area with hopes for great complexity, some #eurogame-adjacent potential. But arguably, musical #improvisation may cover any #boardgame...
