More Department of Education attacks on higher education. My question, is it about DEI or intellectual activity. I’ve been trying to think about anti-intellectual history in US and the primary sources which come to mind are Lost Cause propaganda and confidence schemes. No doubt these feed the likes of J.D. Vance, Russell Vought, Stephen Miller and their racist nurseries, but there are con men [sic] in both parties.

I don't understand what the MAGAts are so upset about. #AntiIntellectualism is plainly at the heart of their movement. They make sure this fact is advertised with their every action, and ignorant word. They do not believe in objective truth, instead determining truth by whatever is politically convenient for them in the moment. It's a little late for them to be clutching their pearls, and gasping in indignation from people noticing their anti-intellectualism.
