What a great and unlikely way of presenting great art.” ... Andrew Kuchling<p>On Friday my spouse finished up this quilt that was made by her grandmother. </p><p>Her grandmother made the exterior, leaving it in a box of craft supplies when she downsized to a smaller apartment. My spouse hired someone at the quilt store in <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/Annapolis" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Annapolis</span></a> <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/Maryland" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Maryland</span></a> to do the stitching on a longarm, and last week finished sewing the border herself.</p><p>Sadly her grandmother is not around to see it finished, as she passed away in November at the age of 100.</p><p>(Special guest appearance by our tuxedo cat Maia. They’re from <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/annapolis" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>annapolis</span></a> described as a Indie, folk, and soul, they sounded awesome last night. I’ve seen them and the lead singer, Jordan Sokel alone a few times. They never disappoint.</p>
